In Memory of…
Dinah Boykin was a long-time Chara Dance Mom and one of the biggest advocates of Shanna’s vision for Chara Christian Dance Academy. Since the beginning, all three of her daughters danced at Chara, two of them participating in performance and competitive companies, and one even going on to teach at the studio after high school. Chara became so much more than just a dance studio, it became family! After an almost two year battle with breast cancer, she crossed over into glory with Jesus on August 19, 2017, at the young age of 47, while at her home. She now has an eternal glorified body, free from cancer and pain, and is face-to-face with Jesus! Dinah truly loved the community at Chara, and she told everyone she knew about the amazing gift that the studio was to her family. She would have been honored to share this same gift with others, and give back to other Chara families to afford the same experience her family was given.
